Deep Plane Facelift
A deep plane facelift is a type of full facelift surgery that tightens the midface below the muscular and soft tissue layer known as the SMAS. Procedure includes a deeper layer than in a traditional facelift. It includes not only the jowls and neck areas, but also release the cheek ligaments and elevate the cheek fat pads and muscles. Deep plane facelifts can be combined with other facial procedures, such as a brow lift and eyelid surgery for full facial rejuvenation. Not all facelifts address the neck, so be sure to discuss your goals in your initial consultation with Dr. Liliav our double board-certified plastic surgeon.
